Segafredo Zanetti Espresso has opened its first café at Hong Kong International Airport, one of the world's busiest airports in terms of international passenger and cargo movement.
It is colloquially known as Chek Lap Kok Airport, due to the fact that it was built on the island of Chek Lap Kok by land reclamation, and also to distinguish it from the old Hong Kong Airport (Kai Tak).
It is an important regional trans-shipment centre, passenger hub and gateway for destinations in China, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Despite a relatively short history, Hong Kong International Airport has won several notable international "Best Airport" awards. In 2001-2005 and 2007, it came first in Skytrax's World Airport Awards, and second in 2006.
The Segafredo Zanetti Espresso outlet is located inside Terminal 1, in an excellent position, in front of the gates 1-4.
The franchisee, LSG Lufthansa Service Holding Sky Chefs Hong Kong, is very satisfied by the immediate good reaction of all passengers, especially Europeans, who don’t miss to taste the only authentic Italian café in the terminal.
This new café will arrange promotional activities in collaboration with the other SZE outlet located down town and managed by Ms.Michelle Tang's Dolci Hong Kong.
